Dark Habits

A blackly funny tale of a nightclub singer who flees when her lover dies of a drug overdose and takes refuge in a convent, only to find that the sisters' eccentricities outdo anything in the outside world. Almodovar's first film made with a 'proper' production company is one he now distances himself from, saying he had to compromise on his personal vision due to commercial considerations.
