Blacktown

A true indie film, shot on digital with a sizeable chunk of the director's own money, this is a love-against-the-odds story in which the disillusioned Nikki, in the wake of a disastorus blind date, meets Tony, 'a blackfella on a white bus'. These two characters from different ends of the spectrum, get caught up in a whirlwind romance. Emotionally energetic, with a definite echo of Cassavetes' 'Minnie and Moskowitz', this cross-cultural romance was improvised from a real-life incident in lead actor, Tony Ryan's life. Also includes 2 bonus short films.
