Four Last Songs
Chronically dissatisfied musician and ex-pat, Larry (Stanley Tucci), is living on a beautiful Mediterranean island, where he makes a living playing piano in bars. It was the home of his musical hero, Valentin Lucinsky, but none of the great composer's magic seems to have rubbed off on him. Desperate to make his mark, Larry organises a tribute concert with the help of the maestro's widow. However things begin to go awry when she finds he has also been talking to the maestro's mistress. Not to mention Larry's own neurotic girlfriend (Jessica Stevenson), is beginning to get a little jealous. A Spanish/English co-production, this comic drama celebrates life and music, and has a talented international ensemble that incudes Rhys Ifans, Hugh Bonneville, Emmanuelle Seigner and Jena Malone.
