Adam Adamant Lives!: The Complete Series
Produced by the BBC to counter popular ITV crime-fighters, 'The Avengers', Edwardian adventurer Adam Adamant is frozen in a block of ice by arch nemesis 'The Face', only to be woken in the swinging sixties. Aided by the hip Georgina Jones, and buzzing around in his Mini Cooper, the dandy Adam thwarts criminals from posh satanists to sinister ladies' charities. Directors include Ridley Scott, and the series would later be parodied by Mike Myers, as the time-travelling spy Austin Powers.
