With her son dying of cancer and her marriage falling apart, Julie (Miranda Otto) takes her last hope to Poland where a man with healing hands may be able to give her son's life back. Not only does she find a miraculous healer, but she also begins an affair that may be her first experience of true love. Lothaire Bluteau co-stars as the man with the magic fingers; directed with patient reverence by veteran Polish director Agnieszka Holland.
