A Horseman Riding By

A 13-part BBC adaptation of RF Delderfield's novel, features Nigel Havers, in an early starring role, as young Boer War vet, Paul Craddock, who is invited to become squire of the long-neglected Shallowford Estate in Devon. Assisted by his able gamekeeper, John Rudd (Glyn Houston), the new kid on the block will need all the charm he can muster to persuade the old families of the valley that he can do the job.
