The Bronte Sisters

In 1847 three seminal works of English literature were published - Charlotte Bronte's 'Jayne Eyre'; Emily Bronte's 'Wuthering Heights' and Anne Bronte's 'Agnes Grey'. How did these three extraordinary sisters come to write such powerful novels, causing a furore in Victorian England and now cemented as popular classics to this day? This documentary explores their upbringing in the moorlands of West Yorkshire and continues through their short lives, shedding light on a fascinating family.
