The Match
Scottish Highlander Wullie Smith has two goals in life, to win the football game for his local pub, and the heart of his beloved Rosemary Bailey. Though supported by his village mates there are obstacles - Rosemary is planning to leave for the 'big city' and the sports team has lost 99 years straight. A classic under-dog story, nicely rounded out by a vast array of British thespians who bring believability to this charming little romantic comedy. Richard E Grant, Ian Holm and Neil Morrissey co-star.
