Bend it Like Beckham
A sheer delight of a film about a young soccer player who overcomes personal obstacles to score a winning goal in the final seconds of a crucial match. But the twist is that the 18 year old soccer fanatic is a girl and she's Asian to boot!. Parminder Nagra is wonderful as Jess, who is inspired by her Manchester United hero David Beckham.
