The God Who Wasn't There

Is Jesus real or imagined? That's the explosive query central to this documentary, during which filmmaker Brian Flemming revisits the history of Christianity and posits the notion that the central story of Jesus - in fact, Jesus himself - may be entirely a fictional creation in the mold of similar messianic characters such as Osiris, Mithra, Dionysus and countless others. Believers and skeptics alike will find many a challenge in this fiery take on the faithful that is also a personal account of Flemming's own Fundamentalist Christian Schooling.
