Flipper: Season 1

A spin-off from the 1963 film, the friendly dolphin adapted easily to a weekly show, becoming even more intelligent and helping his human pals enforce the marine park rules. Luke Halpin stayed on in his role as Sandy, while Chuck Connors passed the baton to Brian Kelly. Like an underwater Lassie, Flipper could always spot the bad guys and performed stunning feats of bravery. And also like Lassie, portrayed as girl, but played by male dogs, Flipper was a 'boy' dolphin usually played by girls.
