A Hero's Journey

President Xanana Gusmao of East Timor takes us on a very personal journey through his country, meeting men, women and children who share moving and shocking stories from the recent Indonesian occupation. Speaking four languages including English and his native Tetuan he eloquently expresses the difficulties faced by a fledgling nation trying to forgive and reconcile with a violent past.
