A Fine Romance: Series 1 and 2
Real life husband and wife team, Judi Dench and Michael Williams, played a mis-matched romantic couple in this charmingly low-key and much-loved British comedy series from the early '80s. Dench is perfectly cast as the acid-tongued intellectual who is socially inept, and Williams is her willing foil as a shy and shambling landscape gardener with a knack for saying all the wrong things. Also stars Susan Penhaligon as the match-making sister.
