Year of the Dog

Peggy, an ever-cheery office-worker, lives a flat but jolly life with her beloved dog Pencil until the beagle is taken before his time. Now forced to find a new way to spend her days, Peggy has a number of obscure interactions with a local gun-nut, her know-it-all sister-in-law and an animal-rights activist. Darkly hilarious and perceptive with a superb cast of American indie favourites including Molly Shannon, Laura Dern, John C. Reilly and Peter Sarsgaard.
