Todd Solondz's controversial, pitch-black satire is divided into two different stories. In "Fiction," creative writing college student Selma Blair, who is dating a fellow student with cerebal palsy, has a torrid romantic interlude with Robert Wisdom, her black Pulitzer Prize-winning teacher. Next, "Non-Fiction" finds nerdy, struggling actor Paul Giamatti deciding to make a documentary about a neurotic high school senior and his nouvaeu riche Jewish family.
