Originally made as an Oscar-nominated short film, writer/director Sean Ellis fills out his sweet and perceptive story to a successful feature. Ben takes a job at the local supermarket to combat insomnia and discovers he has the power to freeze everything around him, giving him time to wander the aisles, ponder the meaning of life and stare at the intriguing cast of characters who shop at midnight. Quirky, but with a grounded romantic angle thanks to hilariously frank character Emily.
