Art School Confidential

Terry Zwigoff reunites with comics writer Daniel Clowes ('Ghost World') for this punishing satire of the Art School universe where Jerome (Max Minghella) has just started as a hopeful freshman. Amidst cynical, burnt-out teachers (notably, John Malkovich), untalented classmates and a bitter, alcoholic alumni (Jim Broadbent), Jerome's first semester is a lesson in disillusionment. Not to mention there's a mad killer on the prowl...Based loosely on Clowes' experiences at the Pratt Institute, an art school in Brooklyn, some of his own minimalist artwork from that time appears in the film, attributed to Jonah (Matt Keesler). Anjelica Huston also appears and look out for an uncredited cameo from Steve Buscemi.
