The Ten Commandments
A typically grand retelling of the biblical story of Moses freeing the Hebrews from slavery in Egypt. Moses (Dougray Scott) is found in a basket by Egyptian royalty and is brought up alongside their children, but when he objects to the treatment of the Jewish people he goes into the desert and is asked by God to lead 'his' people to freedom. This new production of the story has the benefit of modern special effects and a great cast (including Naveen Andrews, Claire Bloom and Omar Sharif) that helps with an almost overwhelmingly large story and an intriguingly torn Moses.
