Documentary about Hollywood's depiction of the gangster. Since the beginning of cinema, Hollywood has always had a strong fascination with gangsters and mobsters, glamourising their sometimes gruesome stories on the silver screen and turning them into fearsome legends. Actor Paul Sorvino narrates this documentary, which features clips from mob movies such as 'Reservoir Dogs', 'Scarface', 'Goodfellas' and 'Casino', and includes interviews with James Caan, Michael Madsen and Chazz Palminteri. The programme also features an interview with ex-Mafia 'soldier' turned state witness, Henry Hill, whose story of ultimate betrayal is told in Martin Scorsese's film 'Goodfellas'.
