The Criminal
Originally released in the U.S. as 'The Concrete Jungle', this hard-hitting drama from Joseph Losey stars Stanley Baker as a criminal jailed for a daring racetrack heist. Upon his release he attempts to retrieve the stolen loot, but his former accomplices put him in grave danger. "A savage, almost expressionistic picture of English underworld life" (National Film Theatre, 1973).
