Purple Violets

Writer, director and actor Edward Burns adds another observational relationship comedy-drama to his canon of New York stories. Patti (Selma Blair) and Brian (Patrick Wilson) are a couple who have fallen into ennui. Dissatisfied with their paths in life, they have drifted apart, but a dinner with old friends and old flames soon compels the bored couple to revisit their feelings for one another. Debra Messing co-stars as Patti's best mate.
