The Drummer

Sid (Jaycee Chan) is the hedonistic playboy son of a Hong Kong mob boss (Tony Leung) who goes a step too far when he seduces the mistress of his father's rival and is sent to rural Taiwan to avoid retribution. In the remote mountains the immature young man meets a group of Zen drummers and begins to learn their art and peace, all the while knowing he must return to Hong Kong and face up to his mistakes. A powerful blend of crime drama, coming-of-age and Zen spiritualism.
