Wuthering Heights (BBC)
When Mr. Earnshaw encounters Heathcliff, a ragamuffin orphan, he kindly brings the boy into his home and makes him part of the family. From the start Heathcliff falls hopelessly in love with the daughter of the house, the beautiful, headstrong Catherine. She adores him but Catherine's material instincts get the better of her when she's wooed by a wealthy neighbour whom she agrees to marry. Catherine soon discovers that she cannot forget Heathcliff so easily and that not even death can part them... Emily Bronte's much-loved novel is brought to life in this faithful adaptation filmed on the wild and beautiful Yorkshire moors.
