Ruth Rendell Mysteries: Master of the Moor
Colin Firth stars as Stephen Whalby in this adaptation of Rendell's gothic-tinged mystery about a brooding loner and the detective that suspects the worst of him. Stephen has been living in reclusion since the death of his mother and writing poetry for the nearby town's paper. When a series of woman go missing, his writing takes on a darker tone and Inspector Manciple turns his investigation towards the romantic loner. Co-stars George Costigan and Robert Urquhart.
