Oranges are Not the Only Fruit

With an upbringing spent learning the Bible and praying for 'heathens in hot countries', Jess unnerves both classmates and teachers when she begins school. Later in life she meets Melanie and her friendship turns to passion. Her mother and the local pastor learn about their relationship and take extreme measures to try and save her from 'unnatural lusts'. This poignant, comic and totally coming-of-age story stars Charlotte Coleman and Geraldine McEwan. Winner of 3 Baftas and based on the novel by Jeanette Winterson.
