Forbidden Lies

In 2003 Norma Khouri's book 'Forbidden Love' was published as the true account of the so-called 'honour killing' of her best friend, Dalia. Eighteen months later, the book was exposed as a fraud - Dalia it seems, did not exist. However Khouri maintains it was based on a true story and this riveting documentary sees her defending her position in the face of a swathe of doubters and proof to the contrary. Complex and compelling, emotional and perplexing, director Anna Broinowski gives no easy answers - leaving it up to the viewer to decide - is Khouri a con, or an artist?
