Man on Wire

In 1974, 24 year-old tight-rope walker Philippe Petit performed an illegal high-wire walk between the twin towers of the World Trade Center. Often referred to as 'the artistic crime of the century', Petit was immediatley arrested by Port Authority police. Shown is Petit's incredible feat and the seven years of planning that it took, combining interviews, newsreel footage and reconstructions for an intoxicating film that has won dozens of awards (including the Oscar for Best Documentary Feature).
