Nights in Rodanthe
Richard Gere is the charming Dr Flannery, on his way to repair the relationship with his estranged son when he crosses paths with the unhappily married Diane Lane. No prizes for guessing what happens next. Together in their third film (following 'The Cotton Club' and 'Unfaithful'), Gere and Lane are well-cast, and Rodanthe itself often steals the limelight. Adapted from the novel by Nicholas Sparks ('The Notebook', 'Message in a Bottle'), this is a 3-hanky affair for diehard romantics.
