The Door in the Floor

Tod Williams wrote and directed this drama, adapted from John Irving's best-seller 'A Widow for One Year'. Ted and Marion Cole (Jeff Bridges and Kim Basinger in stand-out performances) are in crisis following the deaths of two sons. Ted, a successful author, hires 16-yr-old Eddie to help edit his latest manuscript but with Eddie's strong resemblance to one of their sons, he is inevitably drawn in to this deteriorating relationship.
