Don Cheadle stars in this funky bio-pic of Petey Greene, an ex-con who became an iconic radio DJ and outspoken social activist in the turbulent 1960s. Having blagged his way onto the airwaves, Greene's combination of humour, social commentary and soul music made him one of the most popular, and provocative, black broadcasters in Washington D.C.. A vibrant evocation of the era, with Cheadle a fearless dynamo in the lead, effortlessly infusing his Petey Greene with the charisma and chutzpah of the real-life man. Chiwetel Ejiofor co-stars as Greene's put-upon producer, along with Cedric the Entertainer and Martin Sheen.
