13: Game of Death

Pusit is deep in debt, he's just lost his job, his girlfriend and his car, so when a mysterious cell phone caller offers him $100 million to feature in a 'game show' with just 13 secret challenges to complete, he's in. It begins innocently enough, but soon the tasks become more and more horrific in this intense psychological thriller/horror, laced with black humour, from Thailand. Just how far will someone go before they will give up $100 million? Thai pop star Krissada Terrence won Best Actor at the Thailand National Film Association Awards for his complex portrayal of a man battling with his conscience for money; the film also nabbed Best Visual Effects.
