Series 7: The Contenders
Trenchant satire of America's obsession with Reality TV shows follows a game show called "The Contenders," in which five contestants are filmed hunting each other down and scoring points for blowing rivals away with guns furnished by the program's producers. Among the players are the pregnant reigning champion (Brooke Smith), an unemployed family man (Michael Kaycheck), a mailcious nurse (Marylouise Burke), a cancer patient (Glenn Fitzgerald) and a teenager (Merritt Wever).
