Bunny Lake is Missing

Director Otto Preminger's unusual psychological thriller stars Carol Lynley as an American woman living in London who drops her young daughter off at a nursery school. Returning to find that no one ever saw the child, a distraught Lynley is unable to prove that the girl even existed. Can dedicated police inspector Laurence Olivier uncover the bizarre truth behind the case? Moodily atmospheric in black and white, a surreal pitch is achieved in the film's depiction of the dark underbelly of London and the eccentric characters who populate it. Keir Dullea, Martita Hunt, Noel Coward also star. Screenplay by John and Penelope Mortimer, from the novel by Evelyn Piper.
