Welcome to the Sticks
A huge hit in its native France, this 'city slicker meets the yokels' comedy stars Kad Merad as a postal worker whose attempts to orchestrate a transfer to the glamourous Cote d'Azur instead see him banished to the unfashionable hamlet of Bergues. Despite a bad start (a deserting wife, freezing temperatures and narrowly avoiding man slaughter) he soon finds his new home isn't as terrible as he first thought. Actor Dany Boon ('My Best Friend') co-stars and directs with a script he co-wrote.
