My Three Sons: Season 1

The trials and tribulations of aeronautical engineer and widower Steve Douglas (Fred MacMurray) who lives in the mid-West with his three sons and their grandfather, Bub (later replaced by Uncle Charley). This simple premise proved to be an enormous hit with viewers, making this show the second-longest running sit-com on American television, behind 'The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet'. Predominantly remembered as a comedy, the first season did not adhere to any particular genre restrictions, so some episodes are played for laughs, while others have more dramatic storylines. Season 1 includes an incredible 36 episodes.
