Shinjuku Incident

Jackie Chan takes a break from kung fu and flexes his dramatic muscle as a Chinese immigrant living illegally in Tokyo. In search of his girlfriend, the humble tractor mechanic soon discovers the Japanese do not take kindly to their Chinese neighbours and before long he is embroiled in the deadly underworld of the yakuza. Banned in Mainland China because of its unflattering portrayal of Chinese immigrants, this seething noir-tinged drama was written and directed by Derek Yee ('One Nite in Mongkok') - a friend of Chan's who waited years for Jackie to become available for filming.
