As Far as My Feet Will Carry Me
Captured while fighting in World War II, German soldier Clemens Forell (Bernhard Bettermann) escapes the hell of his confinement in a Siberian labor camp. With his captors hard on his heels, Forell makes a life-threatening 8,000-mile trek across the brutal, unforgiving countryside in the attempt to return to his family. 'So Weit Die Fuesse Tragen' was adapted from a best-selling German novel based on an actual incident; the novel was also the basis for a popular German television series of the late '50s.
