The Last House on the Left
A grim remake of Wes Craven's provocative 1972 film. Four criminals on the lam encounter a pair of teenage girls in a small mountain town. After murdering one and brutally raping the other, leaving her for dead, the cons seek refuge at a nearby summer house. But as fate would have it, the home belongs to the parents of one of the victims. Upon learning their house guests raped and tortured their 17-year-old daughter, the couple exact a revenge that arguably exceeds the excesses of the sociopathic gang. Garret Dillahunt stars as the ruthless Krug, with Monica Potter and Tony Goldwyn as the vengeful parents.
