The Grocer's Son

Thirty-year-old Antoine thought he had left the family business far behind when he moved to the big city, but after his father suffers a heart attack he finds himself back in Provence, behind the grocery cart. Accompanied by Claire, a friend from Paris whom he has a secret crush on, Antoine gradually warms up to his provincial experience and his encounters with the villagers, at first stubborn and gruff, ultimately turning out to be charming and funny. A surprise box-office hit in France, this sweet story of rediscovery also garnered Nicolas Cazale a Cesar Award nomination for Most Promising Actor.
