The Green Butchers

A dark cannibal comedy from Denmark where two affable losers have opened a butcher's shop. Considering their lack of business know-how, the venture seems doomed; that is until an unfortunate accident sees a new kind of meat on the menu. Now business is booming, but keeping up the supply is going to be a problem. Directed by Anders Thomas Jensen ('Adam's Apples'), this biting black comedy is also loaded with social satire and was nominated for eight Roberts, the Danish equivalent of the Oscars. The brilliant Mads Mikkelson stars along with Nikolaj Lie Kaas and Jensen's real-life wife, Line Kruse.
