What Doesn't Kill You

A tough-talking crime drama that follows the journey of two childhood friends as they attempt to sever their powerful ties to the underworld. Mark Ruffalo and Ethan Hawke star as best buddies who grew up in a neighbourhood where getting into the crime business was a good career move. Now as adults, the 'business' threatens to destroy their lives. Actor and first-time director Brian Goodman co-wrote the script with Donnie Wahlberg (both of whom also have supporting roles), based on their own rough childhoods growing up in South Boston; and they've turned out a gritty old-school gangster flick.
