Wendy and Lucy
The intimate tale of Wendy (Michelle Williams), sick of her unappreciated life in Indiana, who packs up her car and her dog, Lucy, and heads off for a new life in Alaska. However, an overnight stay in a small Oregon town winds up being an extended visit when her car refuses to start in the morning. And this is just the beginning of Wendy's woes as her day goes from bad to worse. With this follow-up film to her critically lauded 'Old Joy', director and co-writer Kelly Reichardt delivers another deeply resonant film about the death of the American dream, and the indignity of being poor and insignificant in 'the greatest country on Earth'.
