Farewell, My Lovely

Wonderfully evoking the time and mood of Raymond Chandlers 1940s Los Angeles, this film noir detective drama stars Robert Mitchum as an aging, down-on-his-heels Philip Marlowe who is persuaded to take on a case involving a nightclub singer missing for six years. Charlotte Rampling is the destructively alluring femme fatale.
