Inglourious Basterds

Quentin Tarantino spent 10 years developing this characteristically over-the-top war movie that stars Brad Pitt as Lt Aldo Raine, a seasoned war veteran who believes the only good Nazi is a dead Nazi. He recruits a ruthless team of merciless killers and sets about wreaking havoc on the Third Reich in Nazi-occupied France. Graphically violent, ludicrously epic and brimming with QT's signature dialogue, the film was nominated for the Golden Palm at Cannes. Also along for the madcap ride are Christoph Waltz (who took the Best Actor gong at Cannes), Eli Roth, Michael Fassbender, Melanie Laurent, Mike Myers and Rod Taylor as Churchill.
