The Ugly Truth
Abby Richter (Katherine Heigl) is a romantically challenged morning show producer whose search for Mr Right has left her hopelessly single. As ratings for her show fall she is lumbered with a blokey new work associate Mike Chadway (Gerard Butler) who finds her prudish and pathetic. But he promises he can hook her up with the doctor of her dreams if she will follow his simple rules for snagging a man. A battle-of-the-sexes rom-com that pretty much delivers what fans of the genre want - boy meets girl; boy and girl hate each other; boy and girl play tonsil-hockey and fall in love.
