Break of Day

Made during a 'Golden Age' of Australian cinema (the period saw films such as 'Picnic at Hanging Rock', 'The Devil's Playground' and 'The Getting of Wisdom' released), this film touches on romance, societal differences and the after-effects of war. Tom returns from WWI, a different person from the content small-town man he was when he left. He falls in love with an artist visiting from the big city, but can the divide of their lifestyles be overcome?
