Rumpole of the Bailey: Series 7

In the seventh and final series of the multi-award winning programme, rumpled barrister Horace Rumpole (Leo McKern) defends the Timson family who are charged with being involved with devil worship; and finds himself in the unusual position of defending a police officer on a charge of falsifying a confession. Rumpole surprises "She Who Must Be Obeyed" with tickets for the Scales of Justice Ball and delights her when he leads her onto the dance floor. In the final episode, Rumpole is charged with contempt of court and faces disbarment. All he has to do is apologise. But as always with Rumpole, it's never going to be easy.
