Hammers Over The Anvil

Alan Marshall is a young polio victim living in rural Australia in the early 20th century. Unable to perfrom many simple tasks, including his dream of riding a horse, he lives vicariously through the actions of others, but his innocence is shattered when his fantasy role model (Russell Crowe) falls from grace after involvement with a much older aristocrat (Charlotte Rampling). Based on a collection of Marshall's autobiographical stories.
