Warm Springs

One of the United States' most beloved sons, the only president to have been elected three times, Franklin Delano Roosevelt guided his country through the Great Depression and World War 2. This outstanding HBO bio-pic focuses on the late on-set polio that saw him restricted to a wheelchair, and his attempts to find a cure in the soothing waters of Warm Springs, Georgia - a place that would soon become a mecca to thousands of sufferers. Kenneth Branagh's presidential performance was nominated for an Emmy, along with Cynthia Nixon who played his wife, Eleanor, and Kathy Bates in support as his no-nonsense physio.
