Flash, Dale Arden and Dr Hans Zarkov journey through the cosmos to do battle with Ming the Merciless who is terrorising the earth. This up-dated version of the famous comic strip is campy, cartoonish and colourful. Wonderful set designs and costumes adorn the movie which also has a soundtrack by the rock group Queen. With Sam J Jones, Melody Anderson, Topol, Timothy Dalton, Brian Blessed and Max Von Sydow.
